Pardon my ignorance, but what is the black 12? Is it a Me109 or Fw by any chance?

PS: In the infamous words of Emily Littela, "nevermind". I checked out the 21st site and saw what you are talking about. It is a sharp paint scheme. I wish they would do a P40 in a USAAF sceme as they are hot on repaints...

To be honest, I think the paint scheme looks better in 1/32 - especially the tail section. I think whatever scale gets the second crack at a paint job usually benefits. I also think non-weathered birds in 1:18 are more toy like because there is so much surface area. Not sure where I fall on weathered AFV because I want to have multiples and would rather they not all have the same mud streaks, etc..

That's a nice, interesting scheme. I never quite got the nerve to get the 1:18 version, but I think I'll get the 32x example. The 32x FW-190D9s are some of the best in the line - ranking currently with the Macchis and Zeros, IMHO - and I could stand to get another :)

I wonder if this will ship out with the Corsairs & Stukas? In a way I hope not as it may make some unfortunant regional distributions with one area getting all the 190s and another getting all the Corsairs...
