Well, I was an attendee of the Dragon DX06 'Dragon Expo 'Convention' and I can say that I had a reasonably good time - the products that were provided or made available were nicely done. The 'exclusive' King Tiger was very nicely done - nothing to justify the prices I have seen on Ebay (maybe 50.00 - 60.00 maximum, but not 100.00+ as I have seen advertised). The Fw-190 and Me-109 that were flown by Oscar Boesch were also nice done and packaged - again, pay the 35.00 - 50.00 (beyond that is not recommended).
Would have liked to have had the individual's available to sign the items (however, Oscar Boesch's health was an unforeseen circumstance) and the crew member of the King Tiger would be available at DX'07.
I purchased a few of the CyberHobby Exclusive 1/35th scale Tiger (61002) at the convention - very, very nice. The weathering was nicely done and the detail was quite impressive - definitely worth the price.

Any info or plans from Dragon about the Candoo line.
I've been hoping they'd release an armored locomotive or some of those 1:35 scale tank crews.

Just got the Dragon Armor expo '06 exclusive, nice as is all the Dragon Armor but nothing special about it other than being connected to a VIP for next years show. Was hoping for more, certainly not worth much more than the standard retail price of $19.

The replica was nice - didn't create the enthusiasm that some of the
previous exclusives did.

I noticed that the Atlantic Toys website has the Dragon Expo 1/72 King Tiger for only $29.95. That's a pretty good price! Here's the site:

Nice find, thanks! That's what I paid for mine from another company and I wouldn't pay a dime more for it since it's no different than any other Dragon Armor King Tiger already released.

Hi Tshintl,
I agree that there's nothing special about the Kurzmaul King Tiger. One of the intriguing things about the Huber tank was that it was the first Jagdpanzer IV L/70, a completely new vehicle in the Dragon Armor range. Couple that with the fact that you could get it autographed by Herr Huber and you have a winner in many people's eyes.
Personally, I think this is a vehicle to watch next year if Herr Kurzmaul can make it to Dragon Expo '07 and collectors remember to bring it along to have him sign it. The item is small and can easily be fit into a briefcase or piece of luggage without fear of damage or loss. At that point it might have a higher intrinsic value and there may be less vehicles available as collectors continue to scoop them up and others begin to hoard them.
What I find odd is why they chose to model his King Tiger as opposed to the Tiger I clipped to his Dragon bio? Also, why release the vehicle now if the luminary is scheduled to attend next year's show? Just a guess but I can only assume he was supposed to attend Dragon Expo '06 and, for whatever reason, cancelled his appearance. Anyway, just my two pesos on the matter....
