Small Scale Military Headquarters

Im thinking of getting this beautiful Type 1 tank from Figarti , but its very expensive so I wonder if anyone here have a Figarti model and can comment on it .

I hear they are very nice, but as you mentioned quite expensive. Sorry I can't offer any more details on the Figarti tank, but my advice would be...if you really like it and you can afford it, then go for it. Yo demonclaw: I started a thread on this Figarti Japanese tank a while back. I bought two of them from The Hobby Bunker in Massachusetts. Very nicely detailed, and heavy. Looks great on display. Downsides: 1:Very expensive-you could get four equally-detailed FOV tanks for the same price. 2: Not many moving parts, considering the high price. 3. They are made of some metal (I think) and some of that crappy polyresin stuff, which is very fragile. Both of my tanks arrived with several small parts broken off, which I reattached with Super Glue gel. Caveat Emptor! Also, I am not sure if they are truly 1:32 scale, or slightly larger-perhaps FigartiRick (the company Rep in China) would like to chime in here.

$99......cheapest i've seen. Never dealt with the place so i can't vouch for them but pay with paypal or credit card and you're safe.

Yes Ive read that thread but I didnt find all the information I wanted , so thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience . And I can see that theyre about the same level as FOV as you wrote (with a little better paint job) but FOV dont have anything from the pacific or asia , thats why thinking of getting one of these before they disappear .

I also looked at the King and Country type 97 tank for comparison but those figures and veichles looks like something straight from Warhammer

I just finished building two Tamyia Type 97 Chi-Ha tanks. I had given my son a BMC Iwo Jima set (excellent US Marines and Japanese figures for the money) and he wanted some armor for the Japanese. The Tamiya kits are slightly complicated, but they go together well. They have working tracks, all guns move and the Commander figure is well done. I dont go too over board with fit and finish- kind of keeping them to a 21st standard. Model building isnt for everyone, but the results are worth it if you need a tank that isnt produced prebuilt.

Some of the early Figarti sets (which featured the Sino-Japanese War 1937-45) were a little off-scale but the recent releases are spectacular. Watch out for the newer releases for OIF too, highly detailed.
