Has anyone tried playing this game?? http://www.forcesofvalor.com/gamecards.aspx
It is intended primarily for 1/32nd scale and smaller, although I suppose XD could be used provided you had enough space, most likely outdoors, which would seem to limit this kind of activity to the warmer months of the year, at least in my neck of the woods. At any rate, it looks like an interesting game, perhaps a bit complicated, not the sort of thing you do in your spare time after work, probably best done over the course of several days to a week or more, depending on the size and variety of the forces involved. I recently took the time to print out the game cards in high resolution using heavy weight glossy photo paper on my Epson color inkjet printer, they came out very nice, and I just need to crop them to a uniform size for each card to make a sort of "deck". I might try this game out sometime on a 4x8 sheet of plywood that I have set up for an HO scale model train layout, which should be plenty big enough since I don't have enough vehicles and troops available to field more than a couple of platoons per side, so I guess this would constitute more of a skirmish than a full scale "battle" which would clearly require more space with 32X stuff. I just wondered if anyone has ever given this game a try, and what are your thoughts?? BTW, the FOV site says "all you need is Forces of Valor tanks, planes, and figures" or some such, but I see no reason whatsoever why you could not use 21C stuff or a mixture of both. Cheers,

Scott
