Question on the FOV AAVP7A1 Transport

I am considering getting the "Enthusiast" grade version of the FOV AAVP7A1 from a small retailer and just wanted some general comments about it from those members that have the vehicle.
My biggest question concerns the passenger compartment. Do the hatches open and is there any sort of interior space? Besides the looks, are there any other interesting features about the FOV vehicle when compared to others in the series? What are the moving parts, besides the turret? I want my money to be well spent!

A picture's worth a thousand words...or at least a paragraph:
Unlike the Bradley, the outer ramp does not open and there is no interior detailing. The turret does turn 360 degrees and the tracks operate smoothly. Also, the bow plane kit located up front has four "lockable" positions. In the real world, this was installed to offset the added weight of the Applique armor kits during water operations.

Thanks! That's exactly the help I was looking for.
I'm actually surprised there is as much interior space as your picture shows in the troop compartment. Though why FOV didn't include a full interior and opening rear ramp on such a large vehicle puzzles me. Still, I'm thinking I just might pick one of the cammo ones up...

It puzzled me, too. I think it may have been due to the fact that the AAVP was designed for the Action Series line and a functioning ramp would not be cost effective. Had it been slated for the Enthusiast Edition first it may have included the ramp. Regardless, I think it's a really cool piece. My Woodland camo version should be arriving tomorrow.

Howdeep is that crew compartment? It doesn't look deep enough to place any troopers in it.

It's about 1¾" deep. Subtract a quarter of an inch for the seating areas.

If it were in any sense to scale the troop comparment would acually extend to the floor of the hull. I wonder why they chose not to do that. Perhaps to make room for the cross hull axles? Also if they had done that the rear door/ramp would have been an expected inclusion I suppose.
It seems to me that FoV puts a lot of effort into the external look of their vehicles but minimal consideration to engineering for the collector/play "enthusiast".

Actually, there's about an inch of room to expand the floor. Also, I discovered that if you remove the two screws from the ramp it can be somewhat functional..."locking" in two positions.

Why did you remove the treads? What is that circular looking thing? Propellor of hatch lock?

Hmmm. That vehicle appears to have some serious custom potential.
That's one of the drive impellers.

I took the treads off so I could open it up.
