Hello All,
Dragon has posted an intriguing testament to the vehicle they plan to offer at their upcoming Expo. Here's the link:

Any guesses? Its obviously an Axis tank, probably late war. My guess is a late model PzIV with a high velocity 75mm gun. Dunno if this is supposed to be 1:72 or 1:35 scale...

I would like to hope for a Pz IV (or Wittmann's Stug as you mentioned before). However I got a strong Jagdpanzer IV vibe from their riddle. Especially after they flashed the Ambush at Poteau picture. Don't get me wrong a nice ambush scheme Jagdpanzer from the 1st SS would be nice, but something totally new would be better. To further muddy the water, why can't it be a ground attack warbird like a tank busting Stuka. I know on the list of exclusives for DX06 there is no mention of a Stuka, but DRAGON might be trying to surprise us.
Stuka?

A Stuka? While a Stuka would be nice, somehow I dont think there were any Stukas involved in the Battle of the Bulge, if indeed one of the images is from the Wacht am Rhein campaign. Overcast skies plus they were withdrawn from frontline service this late in the war due to their slow air speed leads me to believe its still a ground vehicle or some sort of anti-tank weapon.
I think it could be a PzIV since they already have a PzIV chassis developed for their Jagdpanzer IV L/70 series. Wouldnt be that hard to erect a new superstructure, then come out with a myriad of variations.
It could also be a Tachtpanzer variant since they're showing one on their Dragon Limited pages.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I do believe that this is meant for the 1/6th line considering it was introduced over at the MDFC (Dragon's Action Figure Forum)

Timbo,
You were correct. Nice looking PaK40 and crewman. Wonder if they'll come out with two more crewmen to serve the gun...?
