Help...New Company Hobby Master????

Anyone hear about a new company called "Hobbymaster" or "Master-Hobby"and has their website address?
They have a new 1/72 Stuka, Dauntless, and Mig-21, as well as a 1/56 scale tank series (odd scale but will be close to Corgi in size).
I think they're Spanish as I found a website at
http://www.master-hobby.com but the site doesn't open.
I don't even know if this is the right website.
Any help would be appreciated.

I went there too. . . didn't open, but looks interesting. If these guys are going to offer "scratch made" models, even from kits, they are going to be high dollar.

Hello Gambit,
I am spanish and the only thing that comes to mind is a distributor (not a brand) called Master Hobby. They sell products from YatMing, Heller, Brumm, GunzeSangyo, etc. but they do not have a web page. I tried the one you posted and it is in fact a spanish company but their web page it is only a picture, with no links (you can see it in the source code). There is also a brazilian company with a similar address (
www.masterhobby.com.br) but it is also a shop, not a manufacturer.
I´ll ask some spanish aficionados I know just in case.

They don't look too shabby for the money.

Yeah, where did you order them from Football? Did you go directly through HM?

Got'em on Ebay.

Apparently, they've got two kinds...static and R/C. I picked up a couple of statics...they were $18/each.

Ok, I spoke to Rob at Robbies Hobbies and went ahead and got all of them, including the 1/72 Rudel Stuka which is diecast metal too.

1/72 Scale Rudel Stuka

1/56 Scale Abrams

1/56 Scale "Strolch" Tiger from Panzergruppe "Meyer"
What the heck, figured I give'em a shot. That Stuka was only $16 bucks...and $18 bucks for the tanks...not bad.
He's only got a few left, but he said he'll definitely order more.

The douglas dauntless is scheduled to arrive some time in may.
I'll probably be stocking them once I get a look at the quality. From what I understand talking with my rep. is that they used to do some of Dragons diecasts but are now going out on their own.
Gotta love free enterprise.

These aircraft & tanks DO look nice! Foxhole Toys has also placed its order for these items, as well & our distributor says that they will be availble in May.
The RC versions will run right around the $30.00 mark, the aircraft & static 1/56 tanks at about $19.00-$20.00.

Do the static tank turrets turn? Gun elevate and depress? Treads roll? Dish the dirt on these....

More FYI
ltcbj, we don't know about the tanks, but to answer the question of seated pilots the answer from our rep is NO, zip, nada, nunca! No pilots in the cockpit I'm afraid.
The landing gear will not be retractable but will come with optional gear down, like Corgi and Dragon.
The MiG-21 will be a later in the year release. The Dauntless will come in pre-war sliver/yellow paint, 2 other War-Era paint verions & will be available in May. The Stuka will become available in June.
Word (from the distributor) is that the gentleman selling the items on eBay now, bought the sample pieces from the Toy Fair display and has 1-2 pieces of each that will be out in May & June.

Hi Harry,
We checked with our distributing source and apparently something is going on behind the scenes that they're not at liberty to discuss. They claim they are no longer representing the line so unless some other source steps forward, I'm not sure who or when anyone will be stocking this line in the North American marketplace.
Cordially,

Help...New Company Hobby Master????

Hey Guys: Last week, I talked with Isiah Jones of the Military Toyshop in Ohio (
www.militarytoyshop.com). I asked him about this new Hobby Master line of 1:72 Warbirds. He advised me that he's found a U.S. distributor, and will be getting some of these little beauties in real soon, including the Ju-87G Kannonvogel, and the SBD Dauntless. So give Isiah a holler!
BTW, I'd rank Isiah and his shop up there with Dave Aikens (Aikens Airplanes), Rob Muller (Badcat) Mark Dultz (Motor Pool), Richard Hackl (OnMark) and Martin... (Flying Mule) in terms of product knowledge, military aviation knowledge, and general affability. Word!
