Ok guys,

Set III is due to hit the stores 3/24. This set will introduce aircraft such as the JU-87 Stuka tankbusters, Sturmovic, Zero, P-51D, and the ME-109.

There will also be AA pieces such as the Bofors and Wirbelwind. New troopers will include Austrailians and Ghurkas. There's going to be 45 in this new set.

In June, they will release the D-Day set that will have fixed obsticles as well as the Jagdtiger and a Spitfire.

Avalon Hill is also coming out with a collectible WWII naval game but it's still in the R&D stages.

Between 32X, A&A minis, Star Wars minis, and Heroscape I'm going to have to get a second job. Or maybe I'll hang out at a freeway exit with a cardboard sign that says, "I will work for A&A minis".

Too much cool stuff coming out too quickly. Hell, I still need to find a Zero and a Macchi!!! Not to mention the new Russian, Japanese, and USMC troop sets!!!

Go to:

Click on the Axis & Allies logo. They've been posting 2 new pieces and 2 stat cards every Wednesday.

Be careful, it's addicting!!

You can go here:

http://www.popularcollections.com/minia ... llies.html

and look at the first two sets. Go to singles and see what they look like. Out of curiosuty I bought 2 packs. The Jeep I have is about as big as the tip of my pinky finger to the first joint. My M3 Stuart is about half of my thumb. I hope that's not too scientific for you. They'd be neat if you wanted to make a whole battle or what not. Hope that helps.

By the way. Did you guys know about Forces of Valor making a 1:72 P-40, Zero, and Me 262? I just noticed. They look neat so far.

what scale are the A&A minis?

I think it goes like this...

A&A minis are 15mm scale more or less. Now note that not everything is exactly to scale from what I read. However, I believe this translates to 1/100 +/-

feel free to corect me if I'm wrong.

The only A&A minis that I've seen that aren't quite to scale is the Set I Hellcat which is alittle too big, and the Set II US 3" AT gun which is alittle too small.

Other than that, they are in scale to eachother. I don't think that the airplanes will be in scale to the ground units. WoTC Bob measured the wingspan on the Stuka and it's just a bit smaller than the Dragon 1/144 Stukas.

Four more days until these hit the store shelves...or ships out to nice customers like myself. 8)

My wife phoned me at work and said that my two cases were delivered at 10am this morning. What a LONG work day this is going to be.

Hmmm, I'm not feeling too well now. Maybe I should go home and, um, try to feel better. 8)
