Check out this real tank collection!

Post by Philip » Sat Mar 11, 2006 2:03 pm

It has been awhile since I looked at this guy's tank museum. If any of you guys haven't seen this, check it out. The owner is Jacques Littlefield and he has a personal collection of tanks, etc. He buys and restores military vehicles. Unbelievable.

... and they think we're crazy for collecting 1:72, 1:32, 1:18, and 1:6 scale pieces of armor

I've got to make a trip up to visit this guy's collection, it is pretty amazing and most of the pieces are in working order :D

I think this is the same guy who's collection was in a documentary I seen on TV about "Real Toys For Real Boys". Eccentrics who own exotic tank collections.

I believe that, on TV, he said his favorite ride was the M-41, but I did not note any in the collection as shown. I saw that same TV show, or a similar one either on Discovery or the History channel.

Yeah,.....remember the part where it showed the Panther in it's restoration stage ? ......I don't know about the M-41 but I thought it was the M-26 Pershing.
