Who Makes This Tiger?

Can anyone tell me who makes this 1:50 (maybe 1:60) scale diecast Tiger tank?

I don't recognize the logo, but it looks like a nice model.

Does anyone recognize the logo? Who is the manufacturer?

Its a 1/48 scale Das Reich Tiger from the Kursk offensive made by Tamiya

Looks a lot like it, however this one comes completely assembled and painted. Does Tamiya offer these completely painted up? And what is that "HM" logo?

sorry for the wrong link. I believe it is part of their 1/48 scale Masterwork Collection Series.

This series is comprised of completely finished models. Built by the Tamiya Expert modelers, each one is a collectors dream. Only an experienced modeler could come close to matching this detail.

I agree, they do look similar, but the Tamiya product comes with different packaging and doesn't come with a figure...does it?

I wonder if its some Mainland China-based company we've never heard of making these? Or perhaps its the same factory that does the Tamiya Masterworks, but repackages these under a different brand (which I hear occurs quite frequently over there)?

I'd like to get the name, because I'd really like one.

Yes, one of them does come with a figure.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure its not the Tamiya Tiger. The paint schemes dont match up (look how the squiggly lines differ), the figures are in different poses and the tow cables are attached in one picture and unattached in the other. Furthermore, the packaging is completely different too...

I believe this Tiger comes from a new startup called HM that makes a wide variety of diecast products (hence the logo on the bottom of the vehicle). I seem to remember that they contacted us awhile back and even sent us a few images of their Tiger I, which was in a straight dark yellow scheme at that time. If memory serves me correctly, the tracks were molded onto the wheels.

Doesn't look too shabby. Much better than the Corgi Tigers IMHO.

Agree. The Tam Tiger has link/lenght tracks with the "sag" that modelers crave - just as the Tamiya photos show.
The "S33" knock-off has taut tracks, likely one-piece vinyl or rubber.

But that said, its looking pretty good in the pictures!

For the record, that 'sag' tends to become more taught when the Tiger's moving. Watching the Bovington Tiger go through its paces, you'll see what I mean.

Still, gotta love the sag...the Dragon Armor 1/35 piece did it nicely.

Tamiya Masterwork makes that Tiger in both 1/48th and 1/32nd scale.
I have both and the original picture that was posted is not either of the Tamiya models.
