Just got an e-mail from Admiral Toys concerning their next 1/72 tanks. I'm wondering if everyone is as impressed with Admiral Toys as I am? I know that it is a preliminary impression, but they certainly communicate with us very well. The e-mail is below.
The next tank from us will be the
M-10 tank destroyer. This will be released after the Panzer III H and M. Followed by two allied armor tanks.
I have added descriptions of H & M versions below:
H - An initial order of 759 were placed on January 1939. The turret was redesigned to accommodate the 50 mm KwK 38 L/42. Also a turret basket was fitted for first time in this model series.
M - Water tight covers were put around access doors, air inlets in the engine, gun mantlet, and all vents had new seals for wading. Bosch lights were fitted to fenders. Smoke candles were replaced by 90 mm NBK smoke mortars on each side of turret. Many were fitted with side skirts on hull and turret. Late models had a deflector ring around the commander's cupola. Some had Fliegerbeschussgeraet (machine gun mount) installed on the cupola for antiaircraft defense. Used FuG5 radio.
