Hi

I am displaying my 72 collection finally in acrylic cases. I have about 30 displayed but I got 3 that I can't unscrew from their bases. Why would dragon make this task so hard?
I am now looking for a saw blade to saw the screw off the base plate.
I have tried WD40 with no luck.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Patrick

Hey Patrick,

I have also had this problem but I was able to cut the base with a pair of cutters and the take plyers and twist the screws out. I know it sacrifices the base but saves the model. I know enough collectors who dont keep the cases anyways to just replace it. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the answer. I managed to get 1 of the 3 I couldn't unscrew. I held the base in my left hand and bent it good and the screw came off with my right hand. I am displaying the other 2 on the bases for now.

Thanks

Patrick

FOV's 1/32 screw bases were pretty bad, too.
FOV solved the problem for me by eliminating weathering and raising prices, so I haven't bought any new FOV vehicles, so I don't know if they still have screw problems.

If I had a hard time with the screw, I would grab the tank and rotate the base clockwise to get it off.
