Best Online Source for FOV Armor, Enthusiast Versions?

Post by Tinman » Sun Jan 01, 2006 3:24 pm

Probably been covered at some point, but what are your opinions for the best online source for FOV armor in the Enthusiast versions (vs the ones made for mass retail)? I'm thinking of picking up a few pieces.

Thanks!

I havent received them as of yet, but I recently ordered some FOV from
Toysnswords.com because of their good prices and reasonable shipping prices.

Looks like a good site compared to some of the others I've seen and their prices are good. So, what's the scoop, ltcbj? Is it the shipping charges?

No shipping charges are pretty great

Post by ltcbj » Sun Jan 01, 2006 5:35 pm

It's the shipping. Apparently he doesn't. I bought three items, total $135- on November 15. I got free shipping for over $100 but I called the same day because I was interested in paying for shipping if it would be significantlt faster. I left a message. Over the next four weeks I left three phone messages, plus a call to the guy's work number and four emails. I never got a response back. Never got the items. Other people on this forum have been stuck by this guy. I simply did a chargeback after not getting a response for four+ weeks.

I ordered the 1/32 models (FOV Enthusiast and 21st CT) in FETCO and in TOY FEDERATION. In both cases the prices were (and are!) very good, there were nice Christmas discounts and the shipping (to Poland) was cheap and fast.

As for me, I do most of my shopping from Diecast Direct. Prices are good and it seems like it comes in the next day. In fact, I just ordered 2 more from them two minutes ago. :D

I have found echobasetoys.com to be a really great source of Dragon product. Good prices, immediate shipping (I placed an order Tuesday, received it across country-literaly coast to coast- on Thursday).

Thanks MG-42. I wouldn't say I'm new here...I've been lurking in the shadows here for years on end. Well, back on GP's board as it were.

I guess I'll continue this post on the Global Announcement...

I ordered the U.S. M1A1 Abrams Tank (Operation Iraqi Freedom) from www.wartoyz.com last Friday and received it early this afternoon. The price including shipping was 36 bucks. I'd say that's the best deal around.

theflyingmule has an excellent selection of small-scale aircraft, including alot of hard-to-find pieces. Now, if only the prices could be somewhat lowered...
