BBI F-4 Phantom wings - are they removeable?

Has anyone taken apart their Phantom and found an easy way to take the wings off? It feels a bit snug when I try to remove them, and of course I don't want to break them in the process. This always seems to happen with the planes that came disassembled in the box (I had this problem with the 1/18 Stuka years ago)...

I had a Phantom one time that I sold and had removed the wings. I can't be certain anymore but I think I just pulled them out. Not sure though.

The wings on all the BBI 1/32 models fit tight and are a bear to get out. I know with the Dauntless you just pull really hard and they eventually pop out.

Hi Nooker,
After several unsuccessfully attempts only pulling the wings with my hands and always afraid to break them, I make a search in internet and I found out that each wing was attached to the main body by three tenons but only two are the troublemakers due to its shape.







I used, once I knew where the tenons were located, a flat and very thin pry tool and a sculpting tool as you can see in the pictures. The pry tool I used it pushing down and opening a space for the sculpting tool which I used like a pry bar.





Also, in the bottom of the plane I found six circular covers that are hiding six screws which I took out in order to make easy the unplugging of the wings. You could skip this steep if you think is unnecessary.
