HM doing a Strike Eagle

Long anticipated by many, HM is going to do a Strike Eagle. The Witty/Gemini ones just don't cut it for many due to errors and a mishapen canopy.

That's the good news. The bad news is the price: $105. Steep increase over similarily sized HM's in the past. Not sure why but it may be that it's a brand new tool as opposed to other releases which are repaints of an existing tool? Maybe it's coming with oodles of ordnance? Dunno.

Here's a thread discussing the upcoming release. Much talk about the price, naturally and also many not happy with the first scheme chosen. A mystery to me as i think the scheme is excellent and probably my number one choice. Not sure what the beef is.

First, that's a nice looking F-15E. They could have done a lot worse... But $105?!? I don't think I paid more than $70 for the F-111, and that's a bigger aircraft. Perhaps the price will go down... Now I'd like to see how this compares to the Witty version and the FOV model as well.

yeah the jump in price is a bit of a mystery......could just be opportunistic pricing by HM as they know lots of people are itching for a Strike Eagle and the competition is not very good (Dragon, Witty/Gemini and Fov all have major problems).
