The ongoing quest for 1/32

Since there is not too much new available in 1/32, every weekend I hit all the local flea markets, model train shows, etc., anywhere that might have some 1/32 offerings. Pickings truly are slim. Today I purchased some 1/32 aircraft. I really didn't need them but I have been 'jonesing' for something. Anything. As it turns out, I bought a Brit P51 with D-Day markings (stripes) and when I got home I realized I already had it and it's been hanging from garage ceiling forever. I think it's a P51B-C. I also bought a US P51B, Bald Eagle. I don't think I already have that one.
If anyone out there is listening, please introduce new products that are not astronomically priced! I'm running out of old planes, tanks, etc., to purchase and I keep purchasing duplicates, triplicates.....

Those aren't duplicates and triplicates. They are Re-paints

. I agree we need something new. Not something old with different paint. Hope something new comes our way in October!

All we have is hope left. You know we're in trouble when FOV is excited about 'new packaging.' There used to be choices with more than one manufacturer in the game. I wish I would have started collecting a different scale...

I sometimes do too. I had about 100 pieces of 1/72 armor and sold them all in favor of 1/32. Now I feel like I got the short end of the stick. I've been thinking about selling the pieces I have now and going back since there are so many choices in the smaller scale.

Thomas Gunn is going to release the He162 (resin) in 1:30 along with two standing pilots as a package for ~$200 give or take. It looks awesome for the money.

I fully understand but at this point I hate to reinvent the wheel. Furthermore, my entire collection is 1/32. I collect not only aircraft and vehicles but soldiers from plastic (Airfix, Marx, Italieri, Conte, TSSD, etc.) to metal (Conte, Britains, Figarti, ONTS, Frontline, H&B, K&C, etc.). To sell now would be a massive undertaking and I wonder if there truly are buyers out there.....

Don't pay that...go to Pete's Collectibles and pre-order it for $124. Free shipping and if you're on their mailing list there's a 10% off coupon.

Checked it out. Once again, there's no question 1/72 has the most selections available. I need a time machine.

Apparently the Corgi pilot transferred in from a Hobby Master squadron.

Corgi really didn't do their 1:32 scale pilot figures well in the fighters, whether it be the Hurrican, Spitfire, P-51 or BF-109. I have a Corgi 1:32 Hurricane (Douglass Bader, 242 Sq) and the pilot looks exactly like the one in the pictures linked above. The pilots in their 1:32 Mosquito and of course the standing metal figures do not look nearly so cartoonish...
(BTW, I paid only about $90 at retail for my Douglass Bader Hurricane about 18 months ago

)
