Diorama Pieces

I was in a Walmart and I occasionally check out the pet/fish section. (I also check out Petco and Petmart) I saw two new fish tank pieces which would go well with 1/32 soldiers or even 1/35 or 1/30 soldiers and armor. There was part of a church wall and some Egyptian type ruins. They were about $11-$12 a piece. They were pretty cool. I may have to pick them up for a WWI or WWII 'France' scene or a North Africa scene.

A few years ago I purchased from Petco, Egyptian pillars (fish tank pieces) for a North African diorama. There were some other Ancient Egyptian statues too, which I bought. I got the idea from Figarti. Figarti sold 1/32 Brit Jeeps and Chevy trucks with Brit special forces (SAS) from WWII. Figarti's Egyptian ruins pieces were about $100. When I saw the aquarium pieces for a fraction of the cost, it was an easy decision to make. Ever since I keep tabs on the aquarium pieces as well as Halloween and Christmas village pieces. Several years ago I purchased Ol' Bethlehem buildings for a North African diorama or just a general Middle East diorama: Ancient Rome through the present.
