Is there any market for display stands?

Post by aferguson » Mon Mar 17, 2014 8:19 am

i don't use display stands for my 1/72 planes and up til now i've just been tossing them out but i got to wondering if maybe i should be trying to sell them on Ebay? Is there any market for Corgi, HM, CW etc display stands or should i just keep tossing them? I have no room to store a bunch of display stands i know i'll never use so it's sell 'em or chuck 'em.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Sell them on Ebay. If the package for stand(s) is less than 9 oz, the shipping cost will be around $3.

Yes. There are people looking for stands on Ebay.

Maybe you could use this as a guideline? Not Corgi but you could extrapolate.

Witty Wings display stand

ok well thanks for the help guys. I'll give it a try at some point, maybe when i get a few saved up. At the least i'll stop tossing them for now until i try to sell them. I'm just wondering if they'll be a market for stands from newly released planes......it seems to me it's more likely people will want stands for planes long out of production, as those would be more likely to have lost or broken stands that need replacing. But i'll give it a try.
