Some news from Toy Fair that may be of interest

Post by aferguson » Wed Feb 19, 2014 8:52 am

FOV has some new releases planned including some new aircraft. Of note are the CH-53E Super Stallion (which will complement the Amercom MH-53 nicely) and an Osprey (with tilt rotors) both in 1/72.

For armor fans the Eaglemoss 1/43 line wil be generally distributed in the US beginning April. Plan is for 60 vehicles total, but that is not certain. About a dozen will be available soon.

Good news about the Eaglemoss 1:43rd scale line, AF. For those who might be interested, check out this French blog which goes on for about 7 pages and has pictures of most of the models released so far:

I'm in for the V-22 Osprey for sure.

The CH-53E should be markedly different than the Amercom MH-53 right?
Not too up on my helicopter variants. Hopefully it won't be light blue like the Amercom.

markedly different no, but noticably. The main difference will be smaller side sponsons and external fuel tanks on the sides. It will probably be a light blue grey, like many marine and navy helicopters (the sea dragon is unusual in being gunship grey) but could also be in a camo pattern. I would bet overall light blue grey though, much like the colour of the Osprey.

Good news from FOV, if only for the things under 1:32 scale... I'm down for the CH-53 and V-22 for sure. Also like the sound of the upcoming 1:700 scale ships. They are practically replicating the old Gearbox line with the USA Hornet and USS Arizona. I bet the Hornet will have the B-25s on it

thanks for the link, P-51

the Oxford Anson looks like it's still a long way from release as they didn't even show a painted model...looking forward to that one.

the Osprey is due in March! Looking forward to that one too.

nice little 40mm bofors gun in 1/76 for airfield diorama guys.

the star of the show is the re-release of the Do X in 1/72! I never knew it was released before. 300 euro though, ouch.
