An Iranian Fencer Arrives

My latest buy from the Italeri mostly 1:100th scale diecast series is a replica of an Iranian-operated SU-24, or "Fencer" to NATO. While not up to CW or HM standards-----nor was such intended by the manufacturer-------it's not a bad model and can be readily found on eBay. The scheme checks out, though the green is too light and the brown is both too light and too reddish. Here's a picture of the model in its original form:

So, I altered the green and brown, including extending both up to the black portion of the nose, and added some light staining, with this result:

Really wish we had more Soviet aircraft from high quality manufacturers. But they do seem reluctant to do them, they seem to think sales would be sluggish, something I can't really argue with.

very nice. This plane is in my list to build (1:48) after the Su 25 Frog foot which is in my stash.
