This was on the Hobby Master Collector's site today:

Hard as it is to believe apparently there is a rumor going around concerning
future tooling of the F-15 and the F-18E/F. Note he also mentions an F-35. One
collector was concerned enough that he sent an email and here is the reply from
William.

"F-15E will be the one after F-35. It is planned indeed.
We will also make the F-18E/F in 2014 earliest."

Wish HM was doing the Strike Eagle before the F-35.

It has also been inferred that they will do both single and dual seat F-15 Eagles. 8)

Not really too interested in the F-35, with one being more than enough. Unless they do an RCAF version.

I just purchased a 1:72 Hobby Master F-22 and cannot wait for it to arrive. I can't wait for them to do the F-35 and F-15E in 1:72 scale.

Which company makes the best 1:72 F-16? I would love it if there was a Viper or Block 60 out in this scale.

Lastly, who makes the best A-10 in 1:72 scale?

I've had a Hobby Master F-22 for a while now. Its a neat model with a nice balance of functionality and detail. The pieces to display the missile bays open or closed are neat features. As with all Hobby Master planes, I like the opening cockpit and removable figure option.

I agree with the above that I wish HM would release the F-15 before the F-35, but then, they had the F-22 out before they did the F-16 and F-18, so I guess its nothing really to gripe about. I hope we get the standard single-seat F-15C and two-seat E variants and that they do a variety of standard US schemes with them. My local air wing is re-equipping with F-15Cs, so getting a model of one will be a must.

I can't say who makes the best 1:72 scale F-16. I only have a Witty Wings F-16 and then only because its in the markings of the California ANG 144th TFW, which is based in my town. The exterior detail is good, but the cockpit needs work. I've seen Hobby Master F-16s in person and they look very nice - better than the Witty Wings version for sure. For me, Hobby Master just has yet to make an F-16 in a scheme that jumps out and says "get me".

As for the best A-10, go again with Hobby Master, IMHO. This is one of their older aircraft releases and they have a ton of repaints available if you can find them. It is a nice piece with lots of ordinance options, opening cockpit, landing gear pieces, and the details are crisp.

Dragon, Witty, and now HM make the F-16 in 1/72.

I have a number of Dragon Vipers, and they are pretty decent, although an older mold by now. Witty are okay, but relatively expensive for what you get.

HM is easily the best, and brand new , but pretty close to $70, so not cheap.
