COMING SOON : 1:35 GERMAN U-BOAT !!

Post by plasticgeneral » Sun Feb 24, 2013 12:55 pm

Finally! A TYPE XXIII GERMAN U-BOAT by BRONCO MODELS

This kit will be in 1:35 scale, which will be completely compatible with 1:32 figures.
It has OPENING torpedo tubes with REMOVABLE torpedoes, some opening hatches with minimal interior. Its a small coastal sub with a crew of 15. The sub will be about three and a half feet long! They will be releasing a crew set also!
HERE ARE THE PHOTOS!! ENJOY!

If it's from Bronco Models, you can be sure that you'll need to take out a small loan to pay for it..

A great model, but where could one display it? It's huge.

I agree, BRONCO models tend to be expensive, I'll bet $250 for the sub.
I'm thinking of doing some cutaway's for my interior, so I can play with figures inside.
If only someone was crazy enough to do a TYPE VII U -BOAT (6ft) like in Das Boot.

YES, it would be, about 6 feet, but the XXIII, is Just a little over 3 feet. I'm going to put it on the top of my display shelves, above the 1:32 aircraft and armor, right next to my 1:35, S-100 SCHNELLBOOT. Also 3 ft. long.

If the price isn't too nuts this is something I'd actually consider going out-of-scale for. Since I wouldn't have another boat in 1/32 to compare it to I could get away with displaying it near my vehicles.

CAT, I challenge you.
I like your posts and you do great work.
When you buy your U-BOAT, post its progress and I'll post mine, we'll see who's sub blows who's out of the water!
