My P-40 B/C Collection
I really like the early model P-40s, which fought against the Axis powers early in WW2 against often hopeless odds. Here are my two C1 P-40s:

And a larger group of 1:72nd and 1:100th scale P-40s-----two each from Easy Model and FOV, plus two from Model Power and one of my own solid resin creations:

Very nice collection. I too like the early P-40's. They look so streamlined "art-deco". They look like they are going fast just standing still. Your collection jarred my memory of the P-40's I built when I was younger. I ran downstairs and took a couple pics of the old Monogram I built about 30 years ago. I shot the pics thru the showcase. I tried to make the diorama as a AVG pilot sat in his aircraft waiting as another pilot ran to his during a scramble. I know the prop should be turning but we didn't have that kind of technology back then.

And last, this Monogram model was made by by daughter when she was about 12 years old for a kids contest at a summer resort we used to go to. Very proud of my son and daughter- chips off the old block.

Thanks, JR.
I think that your P-40 models have stood up pretty well over all those years. Your daughter's model, though it might bear a little careful dusting, looks like a nice bit of work for a little girl.
