I really like the John Jenkins tanks. I've been toying with getting the Soviet tanks.

is the SM 81 a repainted Leo Models model? If so, where did you get it?

Yes, it is, AF. I obtained it via an eBay seller. The original scheme, while based on a real one was so badly executed by the factory------an ongoing issue with this series--- I had to redo it. Here's what looked like originally:Image

Interesting planes you never see. You can tell who was supplying aircraft to which side. The Russians to the Republican side, the Germans and Italians to the Nationalist side.

IXO/ Altaya made an FW-200 Condor in Nationalist markings also.

There's a movie called "Dragon Rapide" where a Brit pilot flew Franco to Morocco. They army also used the Rapide.
Thought about doing one of those with the Oxford?

The French also helped the Republicans as did the Czechs----to a lesser extent. I don't have an IXO JU-52. Isn't this the one where the wing mounted engines point straight ahead rather than angled slightly outward?

I don't have the IXO Ju-52, but that's good to know.

The IXO FW-200 in Spanish markings I do believe.

Or is that a post-civil war Condor with the roundels?

that Condor is a post wwii plane. It landed in Spain, during the war, due to mechanical problems and was inturned. It was later handed to the Spanish airforce for use, but iirc, it never flew again.

I haven't heard anything about the ixo ju-52 engines being wrong. All reviews on it have been quite good in fact, despite the corregations being printed on rather than molded in.

In fact because of the good reviews, i plan to get an ixo/altaya ju-52 as opposed to the HM, since i just can't stomach the price and the colours on it just don't look right to me.
