One of my favorite subjects, despite the drab nature of the schemes:Image

Only Ed has so many examples of aircraft from relatively obscure Air Forces. :D

Always enjoy the pics, and lots of aircraft I didn't even know about.

Neat collection of planes. Some of the planes look more like later designs then I would have thought for prewar and early war planes.

Thanks, guys.

The Polish twin engined PZL-37 bomber, which had about 35-40 planes in service when the Germans invaded, was a fairly advanced design----some say it was about on a par with the HE-111. Many escaped to Romania which used them against the Soviets in 1941-42. The PZL-23 single engine ground attacker also was fairly effective in attacks against German truck and infantry columns and examples of this type were also used by Romania and Bulgaria. The PZL-11C, gull winged fighter was extemely advanced in the early 1930s, when it first appeared, but was no match for the BF-109s in met in combat in 1939. It, too, was used by Romania and other countries----Greece had some of the export variant and used them against the Italians and Germans.

I love the obscure. Very cool. It's refreshing to see other aircraft not often seen.
