NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I know it's around this time of the year,
that FORCES of VALOR reveals it's newly tooled products for 2013.
Has there been ANY leaks? Well I'm going to make my PREDICTIONS now!
I PREDICT at least ONE of these for 2OI3 =
STURMTIGER
JS-II
KV-II
M-10 Tank Destroyer
PUMA
I would like to hear any five predictions?

I couldn't make a better prediction myself, especially on the Puma, wish I could say they were coming out with new planes, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I forgot to mention 1:32, but I welcome any other scales for FOV.
The ONLY two that I really believe in my list would be the PUMA or the M-10.
The others would be too good to be true.

They just reissued those last year - we don't need more just yet.The_Helicopter_Pilot wrote:In 1/32 hopefully a new Tiger or KT?

Come on (CAT) make 5 predictions.
Why ANYBODY, would want another Tiger (unless it was the STURM-TIGER) is beyond me.

I don't like any of the tigers or KT's that are out right now, so a repaint would be nice, or just a jagdtiger.[CAT]CplSlade wrote:They just reissued those last year - we don't need more just yet.The_Helicopter_Pilot wrote:In 1/32 hopefully a new Tiger or KT?

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
Okay, pg, five for you:
1. Sturmtiger (since they can build off an existing chassis)
2. Puma (cheaper than trying to get hold of the old Bandai kit)
3. Hanomag version to go along with the standard carrier and the Kanonenwagen, maybe a Stuka zu Fuss since they have one in 1/72
4. another soft-skin vehicle to build on the K70 from last year
5. a new artillery piece (the 88mm is not enough)
Yes, I have a German bias

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
OK, lets get "FOV" REAL.
THIS is what your going to actually get.
1:32
KV-2 (re-use chassis)
T-34 (76) (re-use chassis)
M-10 (Only because they made it in 1:72)
HUMMELL (Only because they made it in 1:72)
SHERMAN (with rocket launcher)
GERMAN 1/2 TRACK (Neblwerfer rockets)
We will be SUPER LUCKY if we got 2 of these short-cut releases.

I would be happy with the Hummel and Nebelwerfer buggy.

Not so sure about the Sherman Calopie, but the others would be easy enough for Unimax to do without much effort.plasticgeneral wrote:OK, lets get "FOV" REAL.

Part of me expects we will see a Hetzer and Panzer 38T, as they've done these in 1:72 with repaints as well. While new toolings are always good, I would dread these as the 21c versions were so well done.
In reality, we'll probably get a ton of unweathered repaints.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
A puma would be awesome. However, I feel that FOV seems to have "overstretched" themselves. They still have a load of repaints released from 2012 that are not sold yet.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
They should have made that Kfz 70 cheaper or at least put some metal in it. I want one but the price is unreasonable IMO for what you get.
And I understand repaints were an easy way to get money, but not when the market is saturated as 21C found out.

I would like A 1/32 Wespe. 1/32 Nashorn 1/32 Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V). Sturmtiger and M10 sounds good also.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I'd be happy with anything new. French, Italian and Japanese armor would especially be welcome. I would also love some modern, Viet Nam to the present, armor and soft skinned. There are so many options out there: French, Italian, Japanese, Soviet, Israeli, German, Swedish, Chinese....

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I'm always fascinated with how often the Sturmtiger appears on these lists. Very few made, very little action, not significance to tank design history, and darned ugly to boot!
1- Maybe the M10 because they can recycle Sherman parts, but if they produce one the repaints are many and varied.
2 - Maybe the WC51/52 "weapons carrier" 3/4 ton truck or the WC 56/75 command cars? The Chassis under the ambulance is already to apply to a new body.
3 - Japanese or Italian - a niche market in 1/32nd, but there is no current models of either in 1/32nd. There are more Japanese figures right now than Italian.
4 - another Pz IV variant. Maybe the Jagdpanzer IV or Pz IV L/70? No complex fiddly interior as on the Hummel or Nashorn and the Pz IV L/70 was very common, at least in the West.
5- Viet Nam? Another small market, but it sure would be nice to see some stuff. 21C only did a couple short runs of their M113, and with 40,000 plus built for various nations in many versions it sure is a significant combat vehicle. An M48A3 would also be an impressive beast in 1/32nd. Right now the market seems pretty small for Viet Nam stuff.
6 - Tigers, Tigers, Tigers, the darned things are over produced but they sell. Tiger tanks are like string - every yo-yo has one!
7 - Maybe a "straight" Sherman V based on the recent "Firefly" model? Simple back dating and they have a "new" model. It would be GREAT to see them use some of those components to make a DECENT basic M4 as udated for the European campaign. 21C did a LOUSY job on theirs and the FoV M4A3 is a) a poor model of a Sherman and b) a prototype that didn't go overseas until late in the war.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I have been saying M-10 for two years now. Those bastards did it in 1:72, they owe it to us in 1:32!
If I see another Sherman or a Tiger, I'm going to puke! Unless it is a Round Hull Sherman of an Easy-Eight Sherman.
As far as modern goes, the only tank I am interested in seeing is the heavy US. "M-103" a real beast.
We have no real idea if France, Italy and Japan are limited markets because no one has had the balls to touch them so far in 1:32.
Well, you have expressed your wishes, only lame-ass UNIMAX knows the future.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I think unimax FOV should go for the t-34/76, M10, and jagdpz Iv; all seem to be quick and easy molds that would be very welcomed. On the other hand, I would love to see them go for italian or japanese armor. Some DAK armor would be cool as well...as mentioned, the sherman 76mm would be a great direction...there are a lot of great possibilities; we just need FOV to deliver, and to weather their pieces this time!

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
So, your a modern armor man.
This topic was originally meant to be a list of 5 realistic predictions, about what we TRULY thought Unimax would release or unveil at this years toy show. (New Tools)
But as you know, these threads take on a life of their own.
I really was curious about what we all really felt was coming down the pipeline.

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
On one hand one tries to be "realistic" but two years ago would we have said that we would have a decent WC54 ambulance or a new-tool Sherman Vc in 1/32? Some things seem to come out of left field, but others that seem obvious to us get passed over. wierd stuff
