I've had it in the past, got it at alco for like $5, it wasn't the best detail, but it's still pretty neat, the motor max 1/72 F-18 is a must though...

You know, if you're not set on scale, The Model Power Postage Stamp planes are far better than these Target/Walmart specials. Model Power is what I started out collecting and they have great subjects and great looking paint schemes. The only drawback for me was that I wanted everything the same scale and Model Powers are made to box scale.

i see model power has a 1/145 F-22 Raptor. Anyone got it? There aren't any prebuilt Raptors in 1/144, so if this is a decent model it woud be a good choice.

I've got it, not much detail when it comes to the cockpit area, but for as far as MP goes it's decent...

I have a 1/144 B-2, but not this Motormax version. I forget which manufacturer.

There really is no quality B-2 model available, and really doubt that Corgi or HM will do one in 1/144, as they all look the same. Can't really see anybody getting more than one, so not much incentive for any manufacturer to do multiple releases.

Pretty sure they didn't Harry.

Although they have been releasing some interesting subjects in 1/144 lately.

F-117, Chinese J-20, SR-71, U-2, X-1, X-15, X-23, X-29.

And in 1/200. XB-35 propeller driven flying wing, XB-49 jet powered flying wing, and the very cool XB-70 Valkyrie. I have the XB-70, and am planning on adding probably both flying wings.

Some space stuff as well.

You know, I got a whole tone of 1/144 X-Planes from Dollar General a while back, does anyone know what I'm talking about?
There was an X-1, X-3, X-4, X-15 and I know there was more, I just can't remember right now.

Snake, i didn't think the U-2 and SR-71 had been released yet. I thought they were coming out this summer?

Have you got the F-117? If so, how do you lke it? I didn't like the look of it from the pics....looked too shiney and cluttered with markings.

There's a picture of the ones that I got here, http://www.smallspace.demon.co.uk/Extras/extras.htm there were more aircraft made, but these were the most common.
The manufacturer company is from Canada, so maybe y'all have seen these, for plastic models they have the same detail as the dragon xplanes, witch is surprising for 50cents each at DG.

They're actually 1/144th, I don't know if you can still find them at DG anymore, but I'm sure there's some on eBay.

thanks. I"ll keep looking. Those prices are way too high for me, and his shipping costs more than the planes. I may as well get the Dragon models.

However, i'll keep looking. I'd like to get the whole series, if i can, as long as the price is reasonable.

You are correct, Aferg.

I don't have the F-117, or actually any of the 1/144 models listed. Just too small, given the subject matter.

As a matter of fact the only 1/144 models that I have are three of the Corgi B-52's, and a Corgi Bristol Britannia, in early Canadian Pacific colours.

The U-2 is kind of tempting, but fairly small, and not as detailed as I like. Hoping that it gets done in 1/72 at some point.

Snake, i understand what you're saying about the small size of 1/144 for most models. I find it pretty small too for fighters and such, but the thing that appeals to me about 1/144 is the great variety of pre-builts.

I'd rather be collecting 1/72, for it's larger size but most aircraft subjects are not available as prebuilt, especially bombers and other large aircraft. I just can't see myself building all kinds of model kits to supplenent the prebuilts i get....at my stage of the game the thought of painting canopy framing on something like a Ju-88 makes me cringe.

There are a few prebuilt 1/72 bombers, but not many and most are by corgi, which i really don't care for all that much plus many of them go for ridiculous money.

So it seems that 1/144 is the way to go, for me at least, as i'm someone that likes all my collection to be one scale.
