Hobby Master to release a birdcage Corsair.

Just announced. HM will be releasing a birdcage Corsair in 1/48 scale.

That looks cool. I'm eagerly awaiting the Boyington Corsair, but glad to see they are doing another VMF-214 bird and giving the tooling a little variety. I didn't know "Marines Dream" was from VMF-214... I have my 1:18 BBI Corsair with the same nose art hanging above me. Obviously the BBI aircraft is a bit inaccurate, wrong ID number and way too many kills, besides being a later model of the Corsair.

How wrong I was to think that already having 9 Corsairs in 1/72 which pretty covers a lot of schemes, I would not be so tempted to load up on these in 1/48!

This looks very tempting indeed but will have to see pre-po pics to see how this scheme turns out before deciding.

Im really liking that Marder III in 1/72. :o


On another note, HM needs to make guys sitting for there top down vehicles. I mean they make pilot packs. It would be nice to buy one of their cargo trucks and have some guys sitting in them instead of them looking empty.
