Equipment/painting guides online?

Post by Law » Mon Oct 10, 2005 6:18 am

I just recently decided to paint up my Conte figs, after leaving them unpainted for years. I had once tried back before I had much painting experience, and the results were pretty poor, though good enough to make the figs look a little better.

Now, though, I've become slightly better and I've improved on basic techniques (inkwashing, drybrushing, highlighting, blending) and I've also realized the importance of priming this stuff first.... ;)

So after taking a leap, I'm pretty happy with the results. I may be able to post pics in a little bit, I'll see if I can.

In any case, one thing that I ran up against was not quite knowing how to paint some of the equipment. Different pics/models seem to show different colors, and as most historical books have B&W pics, they don't help me. Does anyone know of a website that shows color pics of the uniforms and equipment of WWII troops, specifically German forces?

thanks in advance,
Law
