I recognize a few 1:32 vehicles in there, but there's a lot of stuff I've never seen before. Maybe a little cheating with scales and some 1:38 placed in the right spot to look in scale?
I forgot who makes a 1:32 B-17, though I think it costs a small fortune.

Amazing diorama.
Have seen this one before, but always good to revisit these incredible models.

If that 1:32 Flying Fortress 21st Century already had the prototype for made it to production, the masses could've had a B-17.
I would imagine they would have made ground crew, maybe support vehicles later you could buy separately. We could make a diorama much like this.
Walmart would be selling them for $39, and they would be sitting stacked with all the 1:18 fighters they made and new ones planned.
They would have 1:32 fighters in new schemes (like a Redtail P-51D) for $15 to go along with the B-17's if you wanted to buy those too.
We would have a reason to go into Walmart, and they would still be in production today, prices adjusted for inflation and selling like hotcakes.
This happened in a parallel universe, and 21stC is still here, or there.

Could it be the Figarti one maybe? They even included a ground crew. I think they did several schemes, or maybe it is a repaint. Could be the vacuform kit too. I know Wingscale was gonna make a 1/32 version of this, but I don't think anyone has gotten their hands on them yet.

Thanks PanzerArm, it has to be that Figarti, it looks die cast. I couldn't remember it, couldn't find it on Google and someone here had posted it a long time ago.
Man, the price on those, and now discontinued, it's probably astronomical these days.
Everytime I see that Wingscale B-17 I get sad it's not released as planned. It probably wouldn't be $900 either.

I went to the home-index page of the website. I was surprised to see some of the dios listed at 1/30

scale with a ton of vehicles I'm not familiar with in any scale. But then I am an airplane guy. Is this an accurate listing of the scale

The Chinese who stole the B-25 from Wingscale also stole his B-17. It is still slated for release in an F and G version.

Yeah, that whole Wingscale debacle was unfortunate. I can't really speak on whether it was just poor business ethics on the part of the Chinese, or just an inexperienced business effort on the part of Wingscale that floundered and was taken over, but it definitely left me shaking my head. I hope we see one eventually though. I am not at all into 1/32 aircraft models, but I would buy that one.

The glass nose B-25 is coming out in March. The Company is called H KModels and they have announced a 1 32 B-17 and Lancaster for later release.
Check it out.

Checked out the HK website. Looked at the parts layout on the B-25. 514

parts. The engines are practically a complete model kit by themselves. Even the .50 gun barrels are separate pieces. Despite all the tiny detail even these planes still don't have the canopy frames molded separately from the clear glass. Cars, trucks, military vehicles all have that feature. Imagine a car model where the top is just one clear piece like a giant airplane canopy and you had to paint the window frames front side and back and had to paint a clear top and make it look good. There are tiny parts way smaller and more detailed in this kit than separate canopy frames would have been. Drives me nuts

Always has, always will. Painting canopy frames has always been my weakest and most dreaded part of a kit.

Yeah canopies are tough. Back in the day it was paint brushes and a careful steady hand in 1:72

but now you can at least buy masking kits made specifically for a model. A model this big you'd want to do the inside too, and the bigger 1:32 scale is a little easier.
HK Models, a new company started in 2010? Right about the time the B-25 and B-17 got cancelled by Wingscale and they changed their name to WingXL. That is the missing B-17 prototype there.
Don't know the dirty details but Martin of Wingscale recommended buying them despite the business deal that fell through.
Doesn't explain the Lancaster though. That is exciting to hear. Wonder if it's going to be a Dam Buster?
I thought for sure Peter Jackson the director of the up coming movie would possibly be doing one with his company Wingnut. Though they do only 1:32 models, but all are WWI. I figured he might make an exception.
Always loved the night mission camo schemes on the Brit bombers.
1:32 Four engine bombers on the way is good news anyways. I definitely want both of them.

This Figarti B-17 is over the top...$899, but it may be worth it, I guess. Looked at their website, mostly figurines, but this B-17 really stands out.
