So I just received a 1/32 model of a 1950 VW Beetle from a company in Japan in the hopes of converting it to a wartime version. Being only a few years removed, as opposed to the mid-60's versions usually for sale, I won't have to change much.

What I thought was funny, however, is that on the decal sheet there are some decals for the license plate.

One of them reads, "Carifornia".

The stereotype still in full force, courtesy of the Japanese themselves.

The HK Models B-25J Mitchell is starting to show up on ebay now. Lowest bid starts at $173 with a BIN of $190. This will be a Christmas present for me; birthday is behind me.

Hope there are some left.

I just got back into building models again (I'm burning up my EBAY account buying
old Monogram "White box" kits lol) and saw that HK B-25. WOW!

I hear that they're coming out with a 1/32nd B-17 as well! ( What the heck, garage needs
an airplane too!) :P

Nichimo 1/30* Panzer III ausf. M

I recently obtained the Nichimo Pz. Kfw. III ausf. M in 1/30 scale. Based on my initial measurements, it does appear to be closer to 1/30 scale. It is obviously larger than the 21st century Pz. Kfw. III ausf. D model. Maybe a little large compared to the Monogram Pz. Kfw. IV also. Interestingly, the figure in the Nichimo kit is almost an exact copy of the standard Monogram tank commander figure. Same pose. Only the head and cap are different. The size is also almost exactly the same.

Some other items that would be worth consideration. Many of the ESCI figures are large enough to fit with 1/32 scale when compared with Airfix multipose figures. Most of the helmets and infantry equipment are closer to 1/35th scale. I'm not sure about the vehicles and guns. The early Verlinden resin figures appear to be 54mm or 1/32 scale.

The ESCI German Green Devil paratroops, German Assault Engineers, and German Nebelwerfer and crew all appear to be closer to 1/35th scale.

Plastic Model Kits
-ESCI #5005 1/35 German Rest Area
-ESCI #5006 1/35 German Stormtruppen Sappers
-ESCI #5011 1/35 German 7.5 cm Infantry Gun
-ESCI #5012 1/35 British Rest Area
-ESCI #5013 1/35 German 2 cm Flak 30
-ESCI #5018 1/35 Sdkfz 10/4 Anti-aircraft Halftrack (not positive on the vehicle scale; the figures seem large enough)

Resin Figures
-Verlinden #302 54mm 1/35 British Tank Commander WWII
-Verlinden #303 54mm 1/35 Russian Tank Crew WWII
