C-130 transport

I went to 2 TRU's today looking for BBI F4's. No luck, but I did see on display a Hercules gunship that looks like a carrying case. I think it was an Elite Force product. They were sold out but expect more in the near future. If anyone has seen this plane, what scale do you think it is? Could be close to 1/32. Agreed?

BBI F-4s at TRU?? Is this confirmed? Haven't heard about this.

* * *

The C-130 is part of the True Heroes line and made by a company called Chap Mei. It is scaled to fit their 1:18 figures, though the aircraft is decidedly underscale. From what I've seen, it works great with GI Joe type settings and really has a lot of play features for a $40 toy.

There was a thread about it in the 1:18 scale forum: http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/view ... =1&t=25293

Post a link or it didn't happen.

I've been to several TRUs in 2 states and I haven't seen squat. These things haven't been sold retail in several years so I highly doubt it's true people are finding these any place other than ebay.

I must be using the outdated version of Google because I'm not finding any corroboration for Phantoms at TRU.

the Hercules would work quite well with 1/32, if you're not too worried about accuracy of shape. It's misproportioned to a degree, in order to accomodate 4 inch figures and play features. The fuselage is around 1/32 scale but too fat. The wings are around 1/45 scale.

It's a fun toy. The Joe guys are loving it as are some of the XD guys. It was so popular it sold out of most TRU"s before Xmas and prices on Ebay went over $100.

Dimensionally, it's about the same as the 1/18 Avenger but looks a fair bit bigger because of the huge fuselage.

I appreciate everybody's input. In a way I wish I had kept the plastic transport planes (C130ish) that came in a toy set that had Vietnam era plastic soldiers with it.... I had the green and tan versions. Thanks to everyone.

I don't see any new mib BBI F-4s on ebay which I think would happen if some enterprising guy found these, did someone find a small hidden stash of F-4s at a TRU warehouse?

Seems rather unbelievably fantastic if it were true
