FOV 1/72 KT and Tiger I

Post by Philip » Mon Oct 03, 2005 8:03 pm

Just got my KT and Tiger I FOV, 1/72. Very similar to Dragons. The turret turns much easier than Dragons, which doesn't matter to me. They are almost exactly the same size as Dragons. FOV includes a figure in the commander's cupola. The machine gun barrel on the King Tiger is slightly bent. I don't know if this will be the same on other K Tigers or not. Whoever gets one of these, let the rest of us know if it is the same on yours. Overall, I still think that Dragon edges out FOV in comparison, but I will still purchase FOV 1/72 tanks. I wish that FOV would include a display case like Dragon. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from the rest of you concerning your thoughts.

If Dragon gets a 10, I would give FOV 9.5
Both are very good tanks, esp. for $11.99 each.

Off to the local hobby shop to get mine tomorrow. Looking forward to taking some comparison pictures of them.

Can't say I'm all that excited with yet another (yawn) Tiger I, but have to see it first hand.

And why am I not surprised that there is a little damage to a brand new in the box FoV product?

That's what you get when you use soft plastic, something Dragon does not do.
