who would have seen a 196A made 3 years ago.

but both models are excellent..getting me to order the Spitfire w/ clipped wings and the Bf 109G-10..since I don't have a LW G-10 yet(or a K-4)..prob also the fw 190A when the Ta-152 comes out in jan/feb 2012.

Both planes are must-haves. My local hobbyshop carries Oxford Diecast planes, so I'll see if they come in.

I'm sort of mixed in my opinion about Oxford Diecast... They have some neat selections, but I dislike the overall lack of features and the non-moving props on many of the models.

Still, considering that they used some of the same toolings as Corgi, Oxford is a way to get some of those aircraft for cheap. I picked up their Gladiator (identical to the Corgi one except no rigging or pilot) and after a few simple mods such as making the prop rotate & adding a figure in the cockpit, its turned out to be a really a neat little model.

I really should pick up the Arado 196.

Lots of decent releases of some "must haves" from Oxford, Atlas, Falcon etc. SAAB Grippen, Mirage, MIG- 31 etc.

Only so much room though, and I would prefer to have a higher quality version. No offense to these manufacturers, as they are producing some highly desirable aircraft.

Of course my 'only so much room" arguement falls kind of flat when I have 27 CW F-14's, 10 HM F-4's, and 6 HM F-111's.

Never mind my 1/18, Corgi 1/32, GMP 1/35 etc, etc.

Just so much stuff coming out, can't possibly keep up.
