Hi,
I plan on ordering this:
Does this kit require painting or a lot of assembly. I am really not a good modeller, but I really want this sdkfz 4. Any one ever buil this kit, if so, was it time consuming?

Well I just found out that 21st century makes a pre-made version, so I might buy that instead.

The kit is painted - it essentially is a pre-built minus the pre-building.

I have assembled a couple tanks. The 10 minute assembly comment is about right. Already painted but some detailing helps. Kits were about half the price of the prebuilts when I got them

The prebuilt version does not come with the canvas cover though. The bed is slightly different.

........... and the kit version (does not) come w/ any figures , ie , (driver) . This is something 21st. started not to include w/ their last batch of kits for some reason. This always annoyed me. Hope this helped in your decision making.
