to this german radio truck:

Well it looks to be quite similar, so it has the makings of an easy conversion. I guess the difficulty would depend on how crazy you want to get with the acuracy/detail. An exterior conversion appears wuite simple, but if the FOV ambulance has an interior, and you want to replicate that for a funkwagen, you're obviously in for more work.

On that note, I do not actually possess one of these vehicles as of yet (was going to ask the wife for one for xmas/birthday), and I don't know all that much about it. Does it have opening doors or an interior of any sort? Does it have a driver/figure?

Yes it has a driver and yes it has opening doors. Inside you have 3 benches or tables where wounded could sit or lay down. You are correct, painting it would be easy. What about the apparatus on the top of the radio truck though?

I hope that FOV would have a repaint of the ambulance to a radio truck. :D

In reality FOV could have done so many repaints which we would buy. Of course this ambulance, but what about the T72. Make a Russian version. The Challenger, make a NATO color scheme, which you would see in Europe. The Chevy 2 1/2 ton. Put Soviet or British markings on it. The Soviet heavy tank, I think the K1 or K2. This time forget the logs and put other markings on it, etc. I know everything costs money, but these seem relatively inexpensive ways to expand your product line without going crazy.

How about a DAK version of the ambulance?

I think I'm going to have to pick up a couple more of these ambulances and start converting.
