Can any of you tank experts answer questions about the following two Dragon 1/35 tanks?

1. Was this tank destroyed?
2. Who is the tank commander?

Dragon Tiger 242 was the assistant commander's tank of the 2nd company of schwer-SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102, not a Heer unit as the description for the model indicates. The company commander's tank was 241. I've not been able to discover the name of 242's commander, however. My sources indicate that all of 102's Tigers were lost in the fighting in Normandy or the retreat into Belgium, some due to breakdowns and not combat. I've not discovered the exact fate of 242.

The 242's commander was the SS-Uscha. Rodinger.

The 242 was in cover in Chênedollé area (normandy) on 07 august 1944 when Willy Fey destroyed 15 tanks in 30 minutes from 11th armoured division.

But, on 04 august 1944, Rodinger destroyed 3 tanks and armored recon vehicle in support of Fallschirmjäger in La Bistière aera (Vire area).
on 12 august, one another tank is destroyed by Rodinger.

But, no information about the 242's end... surely lost between Falaise and Rouen during the retreat.

THese informations are taken in this book :

CHEESECAKE,

Thanks very much for the information. I did a lot of searching via Google for Tiger #242 's commander and found nothing, so I'm glad you came up with Rodinger's name.
