Wrong move

Post by DrMindbender » Wed Aug 24, 2011 5:48 am

Well i made the mistake of buying a "cheap" Corgi 1/32 Me-109 and Mustang and i am now officially hooked. I'm not very knowledgeble when it comes to technical accuracy but they look great. Now i need more...

It got me thinking, although i do not have a Mossie yet (i will need to remedy that in the next few weeks), how great would a Me-110? It would be right up their alley with te Hurrys and spitfires...

Now you have done it. Love the Corgi 1/32 models, although the molds are getting pretty old now. But still great pieces of diecast. With good weight, and detail to them.

I have almost all of them, and am just missing a few Hurricanes, one Mosquito and a few others.

The Mosquitoes go for big money, and I am still missing the Night version. Just can't seem to find one of these for less than $400, shipped. The RAF Benson version is the cheapest, but I would try and go for the "Moncton Express". It is in the typical camo scheme, and is the bomber version. The Benson is a Photo recon bird, and is a blue all over. The weakest Mossie.

Dr, you will love the Mossie! 8) And the box is the size of a small siutcase.

Welcome to the Corgi 1/32 fan club.

Really wish Corgi did a 1/32 FW 190. A or D version.

Welcome to 1:32 club Corgi, Matt!

I wish more pieces were available in this scale. The Mosquito FB version has been preordered for over a year and I'd give my right boot for that one.

I have the "Montcon Express" version and love it. Its a massive, detailed 1:32 bomber. Really gives you an idea of what can be done in that scale with aircraft. I love all the moving control surfaces, the opening engines, the opening cockpit hatch, glazed nose, and of course the bomb bay with 4,000lb "cookie" bomb and loading crew. Just a neat plane 8)

I agree that the Moncton Express does look great. I have perused around and not many Mossies available, I will have to keep looking. They should do other planes, and yes a FW would be quite nice. But i need more support for the Me-110.

On a related subject, which one is their latest 1:32 Mold and when was it first introduced?

Not absolutely sure, but I believe that the Mossie is their latest mold.

The latest Corgi 1/32 releases are just about a year old now.

There is a new Mosquito coming very soon. Fighter/bomber that took part in the "Amiens" prison raid.

I have this one on pre order, and looks like it will be a sell out.
