Saw An Enthusiast Version FOV 1/72 Stuka Today

Post by dfoos » Sun Aug 28, 2005 1:24 am

Saw An Enthusiast Version FOV 1/72 Stuka Today. It was in a Hobby Town USA in Redmond WA. It was the Snake version. I didn't notice too much of a difference between this one and the "Toy" version I got from Target. Just some Weathering that I could do with a blackwash. I actually prefer the plane without the weathering. It seemed a little overdone to my eye. Not worth buying over the one I already have, that's for sure. I'm really looking forward to the 1/72nd infantry. Does anyone know if those will be coming in two different versions as well or are they all the same version?

I have the "Action Series" Eastern Front Stuka, and the whitewash and weathering looked pretty decent compared with the "Enthusiast" type (per the pictures on the BCA website.) There wasn't much of a difference. All in all, these are very pleasing relases. They are Corgi quality, for much cheaper, and have opening engines!
