I'm thrilled about FOV's hetzer. However, I am disappointed with FOV's 1/32 releases this year. :?It's probably their fewest 1/32 releases ever.

My sentiments exactly. I am truly a sad 1/32 collector this year. Having to rely on the old hobby desk to supply me with all my "new" vehicle variants is not the preferred method, but at least it's fun :D

What happened to the plastic base that the enthusiast series always come with?

I'm a little hesitant about buying this one. Does anyone know if the back doors open up, if it has any?

That Hetzer isn't half-bad. I might be tempted to pick one up if my favourite retailer gets any.

I am thinking on waiting until panzerstahl releases their hetzer so that I can compare. The camo on FOV's hetzer looks a bit over done.

Just got these in.

You shouldn't be, its a great model.

Sadly its rear doors do not open, I presume as this would have meant they had to sculpt and detail the inside. This would have been costly!

The Hetzer is in 1944 camo scheme and its not a terrible representation.

I found a picture of one in service with this camo pattern, but didn't want to post it due to copyright issues.

They did away with the bases since the last batch of releases (KV-1, Elefant, etc.) Really a shame, especially with the rising costs and loss of accessories and weathering.

I recently received both the Pz38(t) and the Hetzer - both surprisingly good models in 1/71, especially compared with the (dire) Wespe and GMC models from the same company!

The Pz38(t) has very neat rivet detailing, good 'panzer gray' weathering, and a fine commander figure - compares very well with the Marder III made by HobbyMaster, and is distinctly superior to the Altaya/IXO version available in Europe.

The Hetzer is (correctly) a bit wider than the Pz38(t), has turning tracks, a well-done commander figure, and excellent'y done 'splinter' camouflage. The MG is a little over-scale (curiously thicker than the fine MG42 used for the company's Sd.Kfz 251 halftrack), but this is hardly noticeable behind the gun shield. The Pak gun can be adjusted in the mantlet - with more movement than that used for Dragon's Stug III model.

All up, compulsory purchases for collectors after the full set of Wehrmacht panzers.

I took receipt of the German 4x4 ambulance. It's ok but no weathering. There also few extras. Barbed wire, a shovel, a sledge hammer, a wooden crate with a couple of bottles, a dog(?)..... Big woop! How about a stretcher? Medical supplies? Perhaps a couple of medics or a wounded soldier? The prices continue to rise and there's less and less. Do you guys agree?

The new GMC truck in 1/72 by FOV has the worst camo ever for that type of truck.

I just got my German 4X4 ambulance. The front doors do not open but there is a driver. The back doors do open to reveal a few benches and beds on the inside. It has some light weathering. Id post pics if I knew how to put them on here. Although there is no plastic base, its still a pain to get out of the box. i would have liked to see some medics or stretcher bearers or something to that effect. All in all it's a good piece due to its subject matter and will add a great part to my 80+ vehicle diorama that is in the works.. I m excited to see the the American cargo truck. I wish FOV would return to Armor though maybe some TDs or SPs.

I really like FOV, its too bad they don't have a economy version of their die-casts, kind of like 21sts line, all plastic, but still have decent detail.

I know a lot of 21st's models were used for customs, but its hard to take a fourty to fifty dollar die-cast and repaint it.

Its called Unimax Bravo Team, but its only modern vehicles. They did plastic versions of the diecast Abrams, Bradley, and M113 and then threw in a couple new toolings (LAV and Stryker) for fun. All of them really suck. I did pick up the LAV as it was the best looking of the bunch.

The Bravo Team 1:32 plastic vehicles are much better. The Abrams and Stryker being my favorites. Again, nowhere near the quality of the diecast FOV vehicles, but not bad.

I didn't realize that, I mostly collect WWII, I'll have to take a look at the modern stuff.

I stand corrected regarding back doors Miggles.

Tman, don't forget the bravo team Sherman/Tiger/M16, unless by modern you meant they don't do a 1:18 trojan horse?!

The middle two road wheels look noticeably odd in that photo. Not sure if they are misaligned with the tracks, or floating above them? I think I'd rather wait until Dragon make one of these if the wheels are all wonky! :)

I just received this yesterday from AMERICAN_GRENADIER's ebay store. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this new FOV release, but I may be a little biased as the Hetzer is one of my favorite WWII tanks. FOV did a great job and has the honor of releasing the first Hetzer in 1:72! The ambush cammo is perhaps a bit overdone, but actually appears a bit more muted in person (the flash in the photos makes it look brighter). The tracks on mine roll smoothly and in sync. Mine has a little wheel misalignment, but nothing too bad. The MG rotates and the main gun elevates and has some traverse. I like the figure in the hatch as well. They used diecast in the upper hull construction and the tank actually has some weight to it. The accessories that come with the tank (building ruin and dragon tooth road block) are nice inclusions as well.

I'll probably pick up the panzerstahl Hetzer if my local hobbyshop gets them in, but the FOV version offers great value and good quality for the price :D
