New Dragon 1:72 M4A3 E8 HVSS Han River Limited Edition Pics!
We were amongst the first to get these in the UK, so apologies to U.S readers if this old news!
This is a limited edition model, created for the 60th anniversary of the Korean war. It represents an "Easy Eight" during the battle of the Han River.
Really nice model, the paint quality of the tiger's mouth is fantastic.
First a picture of the real thing!
And now "Dragon Armor's" model!
And a couple of "in box" shots..
My only criticism is the stamp on the top of the turret. Would it have been that hard to stamp it on the bottom "Dragon Armor"!?

Do you mean there is an actual stamp in the plastic of the turret that says "Dragon Armor"? If so, do you have a picture of it? I don't think I've ever seen a stamp on any Dragon Armor tanks before. My only criticism is the stamp on the top of the turret. Would it have been that hard to stamp it on the bottom "Dragon Armor"!?

It doesn't say "Dragon Armor" on the turret roof. It is a casting number from the factory where it was built.
Both of the new Korean War Shermans have it, and the markings appear identical - I doubt they would re-tool for each new Sherman turret they need

Yes this is what the "stamp" is. But it seems horrifically out of scale?ChairmanMilo wrote:It doesn't say "Dragon Armor" on the turret roof. It is a casting number from the factory where it was built.

The thing would have been a couple of yards wide?!

It looks as if the 0.50 cal on the turret on the model in the box has broken. Or is it supposed to be a 030 cal?

I can see it now;AMERICAN_GRENADIER wrote:maybe its an in the field modification
Me - "So you have a problem with your model?"
Customer - "Yes the 0.50 cal's barrel has snapped off"
Me - "Oh don't worry, "American_Grenadier" has called that an in the field mod, in many ways your model is now an extra limited edition!"
Again, thank you for pointing it out.
