Here and gone in SW Michigan. My local WM got 3 in, and they were gone within a couple days, along with the Corsairs. Just a couple Snake Stukas left.

I haven't seen these here, but I had Ostketten send me one from the East coast.. This is my favorite Fw190-D9 scheme..

Found another new assortment of the 32x 109s today 8) This time it had 4 109Gs in the S1 "JG 11 Schilling" paintscheme and two of the north africa 109Fs. Now I'm a bit confused as I've seen 3 different assortments:

Assortment A:
2 109G " JG 300, Silver"
2 109F "JG 54, Eastern Front"
2 109F "JG 27, North Afrika"

Assortment B:
2 109G "JG 22, Hackl"
2 109F "JG 54, Eastern Front"
2 109F "JG 27, North Afrika"

Assortment C:
4 109G "JG11, Schilling"
2 109F "JG 27, North Afrika"

In my opinion, both the 109Fs have great paintschemes and the Hackl and Schilling 109Gs are great. The Silver 109G, while it has the cool Erla clear vision canopy has a boring paintscheme for a German plane.

I found the S1 mutherich 109f-4 and the S2 hackle g-6 this morning. The libyan and balkans stuka have already shown here, as well as the medium blue corsair (I forget which series this is)-not jolly roger.

Here is another assortment-(D):
3- 109F S1
3- 109G S2

I've started hitting several walmarts before work in the morning before work- (the older ya get, the easier this seems to be). This almost assures me I'll be amongst the first to get my greedy hands on those with the fusilage bands that actually line up, etc.

Help, I'm losing count-- Concerning the current wave of 109s, corsairs, and stukas, how many variations are still out there?

I obviously have the russian and hackle 109s, the devil dog hollowell corsair, the desert and the balkans stuka. Am I correct in believing there are 2 more stukas, 3 more 109g/f's, and 3 more corsairs?

The current releases of the 32x planes should break down like this:

Corsair:
VMF-111 "Devil Dogs"
VMF-113 "USS Saidor"
VF-17 "Big Hog"
1834 Sq. "Royal Navy" (Aparently going to small retailers before WM.)

Stuka:
III./Stuka Gesch. 77 "Helmut Bode" or "European"
III./Stuka Gesch. 3 "Balkans" or "Yellow nose"
VI./Stuka Gesch. 2 "Snake"
3rd Staffel "North Afrika"

Bf-109F:
JG-54 "Hubert Muthrich" or "Eastern Front"
JG-27 "Otto Schultz" or "North Africa"
(I think there might be one more - the S1 109F pictured on the box in the tan & brown splinter cammo - but I have not seen it.)

Bf-109G:
JG-11 "Anton Hackl"
JG-54 "Wil. Shilling"
JG-300 "Kurt Gabler" or "Red 8"
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

I thought the site was just 1/18. If you 32x guys want something similar you might just have to build it...good luck!

I did include the Stuka (listed as North Africa) but couldn't find the proper ID info. The S1 Bf-109F also appears to be out now, though NOT in my area. Forgot to mention the SAAF P-40! At the time I wrote the above message, I didn't own one, but thanks to a fellow boardmember, I do now

This is one of my favorite schemes of the new 32x 109s, yet it always seems to be the most abundant in my AO with all other types selling out quickly... One store still has six!

Just bought Grossetta's P-47D and the 190 Black (or should I say Blue) 12. I love 'em!!! I'll probably scoop up the P-51 vs. Me 262 "Dogfight" pack if I can find it.

I picked this one up this past weekend. Not a big 109 fan but the markings and coloring on this aircraft is great. As well I bought the Snake Stuka on Sunday. I am hoping one day to put together a 1/32 North Africa dio but no room to fit it!

This one seems elusive where I live. Found the other 109-F (S3 - Von Boremski - Straubing Germany) as well as a couple of different 109-G's, but not this one. Looks nice!

blurx7,

Is your avatar that of a Schweitzer Sailplane, an earlier Elmira, NY made classic? Very nice.

No, but there is an Elmira connection.

This bird is "The Golden Eagle" the oldest sailplane in Australia, and built by my uncle Geoff Richardson in the 1930's.
A few years ago the current owner brought it across the pond to take part in a vintage meet at Elmira. My family made the trek over and visited with the plane and its owner.
Later, they came through Michigan on their way to an airshow in Wisconsin and spent the night at my house, with the Eagle parked across my front yard in the same travel trailer my uncle built for it back in the thirties.
Thanks for asking!

Geoff,

What a beautiful sailplane....I flew Schweitzer 2-22 and 1-26 types before I went to Flight School with the USNavy. I was a member of the SSA, or Soaring Society of America for a number of years. Flying a sailplane makes one a better pilot for many reasons, but in particular this: turning base to final is a definite, deliberate act because you don't have the powerplant up front (or on your wings, if a twin) to "fall back on"...base to final and landing. PERIOD. That was very good training and helped me later in the Navy.

You are welcome, I was curious and am very glad I asked...what a history this airplane exhibits!! Congrats,

dV

BTW, I dreamed of buying a German Glasflügel H-201 Standard Libelle, but getting married and having a family upended that idea. I still dream of that, however

I just picked that one up today at my local Wal Mart. Now I got Schultz's and Mutherich's 109's. Other than a few 1/32nd Panzer IV's and a 1/18th camo MiG-15 (My dad might pick that up :D) all they had were 109 F's and G-6's.

While at WM today I picked up the Bode Stuka and the white tail USS Saidor Corsair. Very Impressive! The employee had just put them on the shelf too. There were three of each, as usual I spent about 15 mins trying to find the best ones.

My local Hobbytown USA store gave me quite a shock when I went in to find that they had a ton of 32x aircraft :D Lots of Zeros and Macchis, but also Stukas, Corsairs, and even the new Bf-109s! None of the newest repaints like what BCA has just gotten in. While nearly every plane they had was avaliable at a local Wal Mart at some time or other within the past year, I couldn't resist picking up a new Royal Navy Corsair
