The 21st Cent. 32X Stuka is posted on the Area 21 site! I know I will be picking this up when it comes out.

Wait till you see the paint schemes! One of them in particular really was nice to see. Hopefully I will get a green light to release them soon.

How good are these models compared to FOV , Corgi and Dragon ?

Comparing these to the above listed manufacturers is in some cases comparing apples to oranges..
FOV (Forces of Valor), Corgi and Dragon are mostly metal whereas, the 21st planes are plastic, but for $15 each (at Walmart) you can't beat the price..

I have some of each and I have to say Corgi (1/32) is superior in most respects while Dragon makes a great plane, they don't make 1/32 scale.. Forces of Valor (1/32) are hit-miss.. Some people love them and some hate them. I am for the latter..

In 21sts lineup, the P-51, Bf-109, Me-262 are the older molds and are somewhat "toylike" compared to the recent releases (Fw-190,P-47,Mc-202,203, Zero, P-40), but I recommend that you pick one up and judge for yourself..

I am with Hworth on the planes. The 21st planes are a good value for $15, but not as nice as the Corgi 1/32.

The 1/32nd line just keeps getting better all the time. The best thing about them is the price. You can have a whole flight of 1/32nd Zeros for the cost of 2 1/18th scale planes. The qaulity of the planes as you guys mentioned is much improved over early releases. Although I mostly collect 1/18th, I couldn't help loading up on Zeros and Macchis.

I totally agree! 100% the older molds really are a dog in comparrison to the newer stuff. I just talked to 21st tonight. the stuka and corsair are just about finished. They are really going to ignite this line I think. If all goes as planned there sould be some really big news in this scale for 07.

This is the time to jump into this scale! I just picked up all but 1 of the Zero schemes and all but 2 of the macchi

well, there will be a rich representation of the Axis air forces in the Mediterranean Theater of War with the new Stuka, but there's only one airplane of the Allies (a P-40). What will be the next? My favorites were Spitfires and Hurricanes!

Yes, we all agree, that the newer planes are much better. So, wouldn't it be good, if the 21st leave the old Bf-109s and P-51Ds and do not make next repaints of them, but prepare the new molds?

If I could suggest something: I would make new P-51Bs and Bf-109F/Gs first, and than P-51Ds and Bf-109Es again...

That kind of move would not shock me at all.
I think they ran that small batch of P-51D's to try to put some more american stuff in just prior to the Zero and Macchi stuff.

Yeah at this point a Bf-109G would make a good choice.

non E in 32X as I shoud say now, since they have a G-6 1:18 and a G-10 in 1/48.

I picked up the 32x Corsair and Stuka today. The versions were the S4 Corsair (VMF-111 "Devil Dogs," Maj George Hollowell) and the S3 Stuka scheme (3/Stuka Geshwader 3).

Both are excellent aircraft and blow their 21c 1:18 counterparts out of the water! The Stuka obviously has the correct dive flaps and the cockpit has better detail (like seat backs & gunsights) than the 1:18 version. The Corsair is a magnificent improvement and I liken it to the BBI version in terms of detail. It has the full cockpit with underside window. The all white bombs and rockets were an odd move, but that can easily be fixed with a little OD green model paint. Both aircraft do not have moving control surfaces like most other 32x planes. The pilots are new sculpts and are articulated like the Zero & Macchi pilots.

These 32x aircraft are getting better and better, with 21c outdoing themselves each time. I can't wait for the Me-109G and what future aircraft are in store

Scary that the 32x AC are now the standard...some of the older XD planes are really showing there age in both detail and paint schemes...

I am wondering if these planes have surfaced anywhere else in the country. I see they are in CA by Tman`s post, but I have yet to see them around here on the "East Side". I just noticed them on Epay last night. It is amazing the coverage the 1:18 stuff, especially the TBF, recieves on this site, yet the new 1:32 hardly gets noticed.

I seem to recall a phrase to the effect of 'being treated like the red-headed step child"...

We do need the Avenger in 1:32 though. I thought I would just keep mentioning it...

I found some more repaints of the new 32x Stukas & Corsairs. There was the S2 Corsair and the S1 Stuka. This is in addition to the ones found earlier. They come in assortments of 3 Corsairs and 3 Stukas, all of one type. Thus far, the following pictures (from Area21) show which planes I've seen:

Anyone begin to see any possible display space problems, even with 1/32nd stuff; such is the insidious and seductive offering which beckons us yet again..

I hope our membership is increasing by leaps and bounds- providing us with an insatiable hunger (market) to resell all this wonderful Chinese plastic when we come to our senses or decide to sell our air forces and armoured divisions in the future.

In the meantime, I need more-oh, the sheer joy of this stuff, words would fail even the most gifted and respected poet among us to describe this addictive ecstasy.

Display space for the 1:32 planes is most certainly a problem for me now, along with all the tanks and figures. The 1:32 planes are addictive given that now they've got such great detail and all for around $16. Darn, I'm going to need a house or a whole museum to hold all this stuff - in all the scales!

It looks like there will soon be a 3rd repaint of the 32x P-40 - a South African scheme

It will go very well with the existing 32x RAF P-40. 21c sure is cranking out alot of repaints from the North African campaign of WWII - I wonder what that may spell for the larger scales?

It would be nice if they did a early war US P40. They could do both a pacific scheme and a North Africa related scheme. I would also like to see a lendlease P40 in Soviet colors. I have been considering doing a Russian version myself since there is a blatent absence of any Russian planes in the 21st line...
