FOV 1/32 schwimmwagen Diorama??

This is a bit of a pleasent surprise. I just recieved a FOV schwimmwagen from a fellow modeller. But when I opened the package, it had a glass case, and a diorama setting!! I was really expecting a carbourd box and all that. Further examination yielded the phrase" Retreat From Malemedy". There were two german soldiers and a bunch of diorama stuff. Parts for the schwimmwagen was also included. A bit surprised and was definatly not what I expected. I have never even seen these "dioramas" by FOV. Can anyone give me anymore info?

That is an authentic FOV set
Several years ago in the early days of the FOV line (2003-04 timeframe, I think) Unimax did a line of diorama 1:32 diorama sets. They had smaller ones amd larger ones. If I remember correctly, the smaller ones included a set with the Schwimmwagen another set with a US DUKW. The larger US WWII sets included a an M-16 Halftrack and another with a Sherman. There were a couple large modern diorama sets as well: one with an M1 Abrams and one with an M2 Bradley.
I've only ever saw the two modern diorama sets and the Schwimwagen set in person years ago. They looked really fantastic, but at the time they cost twice as much as the standard FOV tank (which was twice its 21c 32x equivalent) and they were out of my price range.

Just to complete Tman's list, the StuG, Tiger I and King Tiger were also available as diorama sets at the time.

They had 3 modern dioaramas: M60, M1A1 and Bradley that had a burnt out T72. They slightly varied each diorama with an oil well, sandbags, etc. The WWII dioramas were even better with a French village and a farm house.

I saw it, and it looks good. But I already have a 1/32 sherman. Thanks for the scoop though. Anyone interested in the schiwimmwagen diorama?
