I can understand that this is causing a bit of upset and frustration for American collectors and sellers alike. But I have no idea how those prices have been sustained for so long.

You guys still buy in (ie: Sellers) and purchase (ie: collectors) at a price roughly a half that charged to the EU market.

Enjoy yourselves because lets be honest, prices always go up, they never go down.

I just wanted to take back one part of my statement.

I have just received an email from our supplier stating that (and I paraphrase) "as a result of the increased strength of the pound against the dollar, we have been able to make substantial reductions to the complete Unimax range".

It seems what is hurting the North American market is helping the Europeans.

What does this mean for customers? Don't expect prices to fall through the roof (substantial is relative term) and don't expect current prices to dip (traders have already bought that stock at the old price). However, do expect EU prices to stand up better against US prices and lower prices in the future.

I did not see this coming given the price rise just seen in NA and thought others might find it interesting.

Given European financials I find this amazing. Currency is being debased everywhere. Don't buy gold. Buy ammo.

Ammo can be used to obtain lots and lots of gold

Don't give them too much credit AG. They are more likely to hit you by accident than by design: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ds-newsxml

And they are more likely to hit you just because you have stumbled into the system than because they were looking for you in particular.

Just buy your ammunition with cash, not a check, not plastic. Then they cannot trace you. Buy it at WalMart, at a sporting goods or gun shop where they don't know you. If you are worried buy it in batches of a few hundred rounds. Buy a variety of ammo, even for calibers you don't have if you can afford it. You're buying both for your own use and for barter after all. And you may end up trading for a new weapon you don't have now.

When money isn't worth the paper it's printed on gold will be of no use. Food will spoil. Fuel will breakdown. It'll be you, your boots, and what people need to survive. Ammo can provide both food and self defense.

Shall we unfurl the Gadsden flag? I fly one in my room/study, for its historical significance not its current political use. I am a Revolutionary War buff, I'll have to post some pictures of my Yorktown diorama one time..

On the subject of firearms. I own a blank firing Colt SA .45 and that is pushing it in the UK. Although I stress it is legal for me to own, I couldn't own a blank firing weapon of a design post 1870! Our firearms law are very strict, meaning I can just about use the "arm" in firearm for self defence! Having said that we have a significantly lower rate of firearm related murders and crimes.

Ah, I remember those laws and low crime rates well from the time I spent living in the UK a few years ago. I remember when there was a "gun amnesty day" (in 2003) and the BBC news had pictures of the sorts of firearms people were handing over in return for not getting arrested: everything from handguns to assault rifles and I think there was some sort of RPG in the footage shown. For a local incident in Surrey (in the town of Guildford near where I lived), it very big news one day when there was a gun-involved crime & the police had to use a beanbag gun to subdue the criminal. All the locals were abuzz about it & I (coming from a town where shootings occur almost daily) thought nothing of it.

Back on the subject of the FOV Panzer 38T...

I'd say it is more of simply being jobbed. Painting in a way that was easiest to program their painting machine to do. Straight lines.
