The question is when, 222s are already 6 months late. The wait is killing me :(

Saw this thread and thought you might like a recent blog post I made on my own website. Its a preview of Dragon's Type 95 "Ha-Go".

Just found some photos from Dragon booth on this years Shizuoka Hobby Show:

Take a look on this lovely loose track on Ha-Go
Image

I have never realized before that Chi-Ha was almost the size of Tiger

And some others:

Notice the seating texture on Kfz 18 and 70, defo better than HMs :)

Nice pictures StormyThoughts.

According to "Axis Combat Tanks" the Tiger 1 was 8.45m long (inc. barrel) by 3.7 wide (with battle tracks) and the Chi-Ha was 5.51m (exc. barrel) and about 2.33m wide. As you can see from the model and the facts the Tiger was still the bigger cat!

Interesting to see HM and Dragon competing over LVT(A)-1's, maybe HBO's "The Pacific" started a trend!

the chi ha was a bit smaller than a panzer iii. I think it's the perspective of the photo that is making it look as big as it does. Those are sweet little tanks. If i still had young eyes...
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Found some very detailed photos of Dragons Ha-Go and Chi-Ha on Missing-Lynx forums:

Just look at those mesh exhaust covers and think that these will be not much bigger than Your thumb :D

Wow, look at those exhaust covers, very nice detail.

I embedded a youtube video on my blog, it was an evalauation of the type 95 by the allies. Don't think I can embed it here due to no HTML functionality, but I can link to it. Obviously I don't claim any credit for originally uploading the video.

Looking forward to those Tiger (P) pictures, its my avatar!
Related to the Tiger (P), has anyone any other pictures of the "Rammtiger", this is the only one I've found. Hope Dragon make a 1:72 model of it.

The rammtiger that you have their, pictured is a picture of a rammtiger at a soviet dump with other soviet vehicles. It is an extremely rare varient of the tiger (p). It was issued to various units, but no record of action had ever been discovered. Needless to say, photographic evidence is rare as well. It was originally designed for use to ram barricades.

Indeed, hence I ask whoever and whenever I can. You never know what pictures people might have saved away.

You may find this picture interesting, its of a Panther with fitted plow, another interesting vehicle I would love to see made in 1:72!

By the way, since dragon is about 5 month's late on their releases  it is definatly not going to be seen soon. Does anybody even have the slightest idea when the Ha Go and the tiger (p) will ACTUALLY BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE US????

That Rammtiger picture is a fake. It was made using a Cromwell models conversion kit in photoshop. Here's a link that discusses it, and further on the site the owner of Cromwell states that the pic was made by a friend of his: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/me ... ER+%28P%29
