eBay vendor warning

Be warned if you order from an eBay vendor named Daytona767 (d/b/a "Tristar Airplane World" and "MilitaryAirPower")

On February 4th I ordered, and paid for, a Corgi Spitfire and a Corgi Israeli Suez set (P-51 and Mosquito). A week later he said the Spitfire was "lost in a move" and offered a substitute of my choice. Two weeks pass, no shipment, no messages. I ask him if he shipped. No answer. Two days later I asked for a tracking number and if he didn't reply, I'd contact eBay. He wrote back real quick and said he was waiting for me to pick a substitute. I wrote back again with a substitute. He apologized and said he was shipping Monday (mind you, he could have sent the Suez set in all this time, which he assured me was ready to ship). Another two weeks pass, nothing. No shipment, no message of explanation, no tracking number. After six weeks of this, I filed a complaint with eBay. Told them I preferred to receive the items, but of course would accept a refund. Got my Paypal refund today. So basically, these items were all vaporware and I floated the guy a hundred-dollar loan for six weeks.

If you do order from the guy, tell him to make sure he has the product and demand a tracking number.

This is not the first time I have heard bad things about TriStar Airplane World, a few shady characters over there. Buyer Beware....
