Franklin Mint 48th scale JU52

I got a Franklin Mint 48th scale JU52 in today in the French markings. Wow, what an impressive model. This plane is big, and very heavy. It really captures the look of the JU52, and mine is finished really well. This is a welcomed addition to my little air force, and I am so glad I got it.

The FM twin engine, and multi engined aircraft are quite large, and are really pretty heavy.
Not surprised that you like yours, skyraider.
And after getting a lot of disrespect for a number of years, the prices of these FM models are really climbing lately. Some of them are going for big bucks. I think collectors are realizing that FM will not be making any more aircraft, and that these large twin, and multi engined 1/48 models will not be done by anyone else, any time soon.
And those of us who have some of these really like them.

Absolutely agree...I've got the FM 1/48 B24D "Squaw", great paint & detail, and it weighs a ton...
I've seen a B25 and B26, recently, at reduced prices at a local HobbyTown - Probably should grab one, or both, before they're gone for good!

Well, followed my own advice & visited my local Hobby Town...The FM 1/48 B25s & B26s were gone, but I did find (and buy) a mint in box FM 1/48 B24 RAF "Coastal Command"...Again, excellent detail & paint, massive weight!
Best part? I paid $54.00, & with tax, came to $60.00 even! Saw these in Historical Aviation catalog a while back for $195.00 plus shipping!
Just got to find a place, somewhere, to display it

These are nice planes. I still want the pre-war US Navy Catalina they make. My favorites were the two PA ANG A-10's they did, mainly because they are PA ANG A-10's
The only issue with these planes now is you have to watch where you get them from. I've had bad luck with a couple of dealers on Evilbay. After doing some investigating, I found out that Franklin Mint apparently cleared the warehouse by offering up returned pieces with no broken parts to some dealers at a cheap price. These dealers are then selling them. The models may have no broken parts, but, they may have some paint flaws and imperfections.
So use caution.
