Badcat said BBI is reenertering the 1/32 line, in addition to the repaint 1/18 F-16.
Maybe that means the delayed F-104 Starfighter.

That's good news if true. Even re-paints of the F4F, SBD, and F4 would be welcome. Though I'd like to see something new. The Navy theme they were on was cool.

If they come out with the 1/32 F-104, I'm there.
...a 1/32 Hellcat would be nice continuation of the Navy theme.

This would be fantastic news as well.
Repaints of the Wildcat, Dauntless, and especially F-4 would be great. Some more Navy schemes, as well as Marines, and a SEA camo F-4 would look fantastic.
Given the prices of some of the 21 Century 1/32 lately, definitely a market for pre assembled 1/32. And as AG has mentioned, still lots of interest in the ones already done.
With their USN theme, I would think any new molds would be either a Hellcat, or a Corsair. I would be happy with either one.

I would buy repaints of all the BBI 1/32 releases - Phantom, Dauntless and Wildcat

I would too. I also agree a Hellcat would be the next logical plane. An F-18 would be acceptable...

Yeah the SBD and Wildcat are thinning down to almost nothing available. You can't even get the F-4 anymore for it's original price. I got one for $49. It's above $100 or more now on the secondary market.
I wouldn't mind the 1943 scheme we've already seen on the original promo for the SBD. Though I would like to have a Battle of the Coral Sea or Midway too. There's plenty of re-paints that could be done on the F4 also. Even a re-release of it would sell because you can't get them at a reasonable price.
Is BBI finally getting a clue that most everything they've made in the past is in high demand these days?

DAUNTLESS:
This was the repaint 1/32 Dauntless that BBI never released.

I agree Dauntless. BBI hit a home run in my opinion with all 32X releases and they only used the molds once. Lots of potential with re-releases for all 3, but the F4 is loaded with potential like few others. I took for granted that they would spit out new schemes several times a year, but that was not to be.
Just a few examples to choose from (
phantom of the month anyone/ for BBI if they would start the Phantom molds again, and they would all sell......

I would like to see them utilize the existing molds and only then possibly introduce new releases gradually. Just dust off those molds and get them rolling.

Looks like everyone is in agreement that there is a lot of potential in these existing molds. Particularly the Phantom.
And the Phantom in 1/32 is big enough to keep the 1/18 crowd relatively happy, and yet not too big as to scare away the 1/72, 1/48 crowd of Phantom Phanatics.
I am sure that a 1/32 scale F-4 would be very attractive to the smaller scale crowd, if it was a scheme that they really wanted.

I would love to see repaints of all three aircraft - and the F-104 would be a nice surprise as well
On the subject of the BBI F-4, that is one of my favorite small-scale aircraft in any scale, period. The fine detailing is as good as most 1:18 aircraft, it has the size and "wow" factor, and just looks cool. It is a step above anything made by 21c and if it were only diecast, would be better than a Corgi or GMP model.
For a little bit of GPXD forum history, the BBI F-4 really caused quite a rucus on this forum when it came out several years ago. It cost around $50-60, which was more than the average 1:18 scale plane cost at Wal Mart in those days, never mind the $15 cost for the average 1:32 scale plane at the same store. There were many board members that simply had a fit about the cost of the BBI F-4 and wouldn't let it go. Alot of the debate had to do with whether the plane was really worth it for the cost. Never mind its quality was superior to most 21c items... Here's one of the original threads:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10176&hilit=+BBI+phantom+
Given that the BBI F-4 sold very well and still seems to be very popular, I find all this clamoring to get another repaint somewhat ironic given some of the naysayers. The BBI F-4 was totally worth it

great points!
we were happy when it came out but our first order was small. the plane sold well but not as fast as others we stocked. we ended up selling about a hundred pieces. last october we were checck inventory to get ready for christmas and we found an unopened case of 2. we put them on auction on ebay and both went for over 150$
we still get maany requests and would even welcome another batch of the same

Funny how things have changed. Ridiculous prices all over the place for 1:32 planes.
Isn't the BBI F4 the only plastic prebuilt modern age jet in 1:32 ever made?
I wonder what the retail price would be now for an F4?

Well, it appears the news regarding re-releases is not overwhelming us at the moment. I can't really say I am surprised.

Don't forget the 4D Vision 1/32 scale F14's...Fairly expensive, but can be found for less than $100.00 (By today's standards, not as bad as it would have seemed a couple of years ago).

Sure seems like they would seize the opportunity to use those molds again. The F-4 has numerous possibilities as mentioned above. I bet we will see it again.
