Coming - NEW GIs - WW2 and Modern...

I was getting depressed that we wouldn't see much in the way of plastic figures for 2011. I seem to have been proven wrong!

Classic Toy Soldiers (CTS) has announced a new set of WW2 GIs that will be "compatible with Marx figures". They are not "officially" announced, but there is a small photo on the CTS homepage. Tim said in an email that the figures are due soon (barring production delays) and should sell for $19.95 per set. There are eight poses and they will be available in green or tan.

Some nice looking figures for the US Army/Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan will be coming from Armies In Plastic. There will be two different sets, at $15.00 per set. I believe there are six poses in each set, with 18 figures per set. Three colors will be available. AIP is taking orders now with expected shipping in early February.

Two new sets of American troops in 54mm (1/32nd) scale. Not too bad of a year after all :-)

Checked the AIP website and it says delivery date has not been set??? Hope we see these sooner rather than later. Hope they plan on releasing some Iraqi insurgents or Afghan/Taliban fighters too.
